Q- How many students attend Holy Cross Central School? A- Holy Cross Central School currently has 175 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Q- What is the class size? A- The class average is 25 students per grade. We will accept up to 18 students per grade. Kindergarten and 1st Grade have classroom aides.
Q- What are the Catholic and non-Catholic enrollment percentages? A- These vary, but for the current school year 43% are Catholic and 57% are non-Catholic.
Q- Is Holy Cross Central School accredited by the state? A- Yes, we are accredited, and all teachers are licensed by the State of Indiana.
Q- Do you offer extended care? A- Yes, we provide before-school care and an after-school program for a fee. Before-school hours are 7-8 AM. The after-school program is open until 6 PM whenever school is in session. We also offer tutoring as well as after-school enrichment classes, taught by our staff members.
Q- Do the students have daily instruction in Religion? A- Religion is taught daily. Students also attend a weekly all-school Mass. Classes alternate in the planning of these liturgies.
Q- Do you offer sports? A- Yes. We offer CYO athletics for students in grades 4 through 8.
Q- What are your school hours? A- Classes begin at 8 AM and dismiss at 3 PM.
Q- How frequently do students use computers? A- The three classroom computers are utilized daily by students. Students visit the technology lab once a week with their teacher in order to embed technology within the curriculum. All students attend a weekly technology class.
Q- Do students wear uniforms? A- Yes, our students wear a uniform of plain khaki or navy pants and a white button-down shirt or polo shirt.
